He believes that being able to innovate and problem solve are important for leaders, however, you can be a leader no matter if you have a formal position or not. He says that the study of leadership is very complex and deals with many factors, not just one thing (e.g., the situation or financial results).
What other facturs play a role? He suggests, Tasks, culture, and social beliefs play a role.
Thus, it may not be correct to think that you should only use one specific leadership style.

His argument, is that scholars should be the ones who are doing more studies of leadership and putting htat information out. That up to now, its been like the blind men and the elephant analogy.
